The Monster Dogs
When I was painting in New York, one of my collectors designed menswear and I occasionally sat in on their design Charette when a color story needed resolve. Inspired, I started painting the suit silhouette of Clark Kent from the old black and white Superman television series. When I was in New Mexico, I painted stray dogs. I combined the two elements and a series was born. The dog/human figure is a vehicle for storytelling and explorations into color. The title for the collection of NFT’s was inspired by the novel, “Lives of the Monster Dogs” by Kirsten Bakis
The Monster Dogs Collection will consist of 111 original works. A portion of the proceeds fund the nonprofit The Indigenous Society of Architecture, Planning and Design (ISAPD). At this time over fifty pieces are in progress. An average of nine new works will be offered each month. The collection will be complete by December 31, 2022.
